“DEVELOPMENT OF THE EDUCATION OF NURSING AND HEALTH CARE “

The project coordinator is Kohtla- Järve Medical School and partners are Tallinn Health Care College, TTU Virumaa Colledge and Pirkanmaa Polytechnic (Finland).

Duration of the project: October 2005 till September 2007

Aim of the project: increased competitiveness of nusring- and care workers in the health care labour market through new, qualified knowledge of speciality teachers and practical training supervisors.

Sub- activities (- aims):

  • English language skills corresponding to professional qualification;
  • state language skills corresponding to professional qualification;
  • computer skills corresponding to professional qualification (presentation technique and -programs, e- learning);
  • professional knowledge corresponding to qualification;
  • practical training supervisors´ knowledge corresponding to the speciality and curriculum of nurses and care nurses;
  • students´ health promotional activities among population (in the order of practical training).

Sub- project: Students´ health promotional activities among population (in the order of practical training)

Duration: 2005 - 2006
Students will prepare and carry out a lecture on health promotion in practical training bases and compile a corresponding report.  

 

Sub- project: English language skills corresponding to professional qualification

Duration: 2005 - 2006
Volume: 30 hours of auditory and 30 hours of independent work
The English language course for 16 lecturers from Tallinn Health College was carried out in two groups: the "weaker" and the "stronger".
