"Welcome to Estonia Week" for International Students

27-31 August 2018 "Welcome to Estonia Week" will take place for Erasmus+ incoming students of Talllinn Health Care College, TTK University of Applied Sciences and Estonian Academy of Security Sciences. Welcome week is a great opportunity to meet Erasmus students of fall semester 2018, learn some Estonian and find local friends!

PROGRAM OF THE WEEK
Monday, 27 August

Location: Tallinn Health Care College (THCC), address: Kännu 67, Tallinn
9.00 Welcome and sign-up, welcome bags
9.15-9.45 Introduction: Estonia and student life

  • Estonia and life in Estonia (10 min)
  • Introduction of universities, coordinators and student buddies (10 min)
  • Welcome Week schedule and practicalities (10 min)

9.45-10.00 students divided to three language groups, going to classes
10.00-11.30 Estonian language class
11.30-12.15 Lunch at own cost
12.15-13.45 Estonian language class
19.00 Rectors' Reception to international students at Tallinn Health Care College (Formal Event)

Tuesday, 28 August
Meeting at the Freedom Square at 9.15
9.30-11.00 Old Town Tour  
11.30-12.00 Going to TTK University of Applied Sciences (TTK UAS), address: Pärnu mnt 62, Tallinn
12.00-12.45 LUNCH at own cost at TTK UAS 
13.00-14.30 Estonian language class
14.30-14.45 Break
14.45-16.15 Estonian language class

Wednesday, 29 August
Trip to Mustjöe Farm, Anija vald 
Meeting 12.30 at the Baltic Train Station. You’ll have to pay for your train tickets (ca 4 EUR one way)
12.44-13.34 train from Tallinn to Aegviidu
Forest walk to Mustjõe Farm (4,5 km)
Estonian style evening: dinner, sauna, barbeque, games, party

Thursday, 30 August
Location: Mustjõe Farm
10.00 Breakfast
Forest walk to train station 
ca. 13.00 Back to Tallinn by train

Friday, 31 August
Location: Estonian Academy of Security Sciences (EASS), address: Kase 61, Tallinn
11.00 ESN information session and tour around the Academy
13.00 Opening Ceremony of the Academic Year
Coffee and cake

There is no participation fee (just have to pay for your train tickets, ca 8 eur)!
