First Admission to College’s Health Sciences Master’s Program

On June 25, first admission to Tallinn Health Care College’s Health Sciences Master’s program was opened, which is planned with specialisation on four different nursing areas. The precondition for becoming a student is having a higher education diploma as a nurse or a midwife.

The aim of Health Sciences Master’s program is to offer an opportunity to deepen the knowledge in health sciences, readiness for independent and interdisciplinary collaboration, conduct research and development and to continue studies at doctoral level. The first admission for Health Sciences Master’s program is planned with specialisation on four different nursing areas and the precondition for becoming a student is higher education as a nurse or a midwife. The curricula was prepared in cooperation with Tallinn and Tartu Health Care Colleges, University of Tartu, Estonian Nurses Union, employers and alumni.

"We are very glad, that we can finally announce the first admission to Health Sciences Master’s program," said the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs Ulvi Kõrgemaa. "We have been waiting for this day and have been working on it with our good friends and partners for over a year. Estonian nurses have also been waiting for an opportunity to continue their studies on a Master’s level and now they have it," added Kõrgemaa.

Documents for applying to Tallinn Health Care College’s Health Sciences Master’s curricula can be submitted through Admission Information System (SAIS) and at Tallinn Health Care College (Kännu 67, Tallinn) between June 25 to August 9.
